The cover. The companies just wanted more adult readers.
Nothing is different except the covers. All of the text is the same. After the publisher realized that adults were also reading them, they wanted to have a cover that they appeared more adult like.
The cover art is different on the adult version of the Harry Potter books however the text is completely the same as the regular versions!
Just the cover is different. The story is exactly the same as it would be in the children’s version.
