He was picked on throughout school because of his apperance and personality, mainly by James Potter, and his friends Sirius, Remus, and Peter. Lily and James didn’t like eachother at first, mainly because she was the only one who stood up for Snape, and he was the worst to him. At least, Lily didn’t like James. He seemed to be impressed with her. By the time they graduate though, they are together and in love, increasing Snape’s dislike of James. Oh and don’t forget, James saves Snape’s life once from the whomping willow, even though it was partially his fault he was near the willow in the first place. Instead of making Snape like him more, Snape likes him less.
They grew up in the same neighborhood.. He saw her one day and realized she was a witch, told her. They were good friends (and he loved her) up until 5th year or so when he called her a mudblood (which he completely regretted) He loved her but she fell for James; this was part of the reason he hated Harry who looked exactly like his father except for Green eyes… his mothers eyes.
Snape also feels guilt for the attack that caused Lily’s death because he was the one to leak the prophecy to the dark lord.
Between the Life Debt he owed James and the Love he held for Lily this is why he protect Harry. But he couldn’t like him because of his resemblance to James.
Snape and Lily met when they were children. He would watch her and her sister on the playground and saw she could perform magic too. One day he confronted them and told her she was a witch, to which she took offense at first but when he explained he was a wizard and they could both do magic they be came friends. They remained friends throughout their childhood and into their teens when they both were accepted to Hogwarts. Once there they both seemed to take separate paths but still remained friends. Lily didn’t like the dark magic Snape was becoming interested in. The day James was bullying (and I’m sure it happened more often, but the day I’m speaking of is in the Snape’s memory WE see) and Lily defended him, he was embarrassed and ashamed that she saw him at his worst and took out his anger on her calling her a mudblood. After that their friendship dwindled but Snape was in love with her from the moment he first saw her til the moment she died
They were homies. Snape got into the bad crowd. He tried Lily’s life by calling her a MUD-BLOOD! Then, she ditched tha stupid biitchh.
Snape followed Lily and Petunia to the park one day, where he confirmed his belief that Lily was a witch when she made a flowers petals move without touching them, and when she flew off a swing only to float gracefully down without hurting herself. He told Lily that she was a witch, and Lily said, “That’s not a very nice thing to say!” Snape then explained to Lily what she was and the two became best friends. Over the summer Snape told her about magic and dementors. Lily was scared of them. She was afraid if she did magic at home she would be sent to Azcaban. Snape assured her she wouldn’t.
Meanwhile, Petunia became jealous, even sending a letter to Dumbledore asking if she to could go to Hogwarts. She became mad at Snape and Lily. One day Petunia insulted Snape, and Snape accidental (or on purpose) caused a branch to fall and ht Petunia. Lily was angry at Snape.
Art Hogwarts Snape hoped that they would both be sorted into Slitherin. But Lily was put into Griffindor with James Potter. Snape begain to hang out with future Death Eaters who did mean things, which put a strain on their friendship.
Then when James held Snape upside down with a spell, Lily defended him. Snape called Lily a Mudblood. Which means dirty blood. The term is a nasty way of saying Muggle Born. Snape tried to appoligize. He camped out infront of the fat lady’s portriat. Lily would not accept an appology. Their friendship then ended.
But yes, Snape never stopped loving Lily:(
Well anyway, Happy Holidays!
Snape saw Lily and her sister, Petunia at a park and told her she was a witch. Lily took this as an insult until he explained it to her. When the time came they went on the Hogwarts Express. Snape was sorted into Slytherin and Lily was sorted into Gryffindor. The Gryffindors, James Potter, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin would tease Snape. Since he was her friend Lily told them to knock it off. James who had a crush on Lily would keep bothering Snape. One day filled with rage, Severus Snape, while being teased by the Marauders, would call Lily a mudblood. Their friendship ended their, but Snape’s love for her did not, the last thing Snape ever saw was Harry’s eyes, which looked exactly like Lily’s.
One day when Snape was 10 yrs old he was spying on two girls playing on the swings. The younger one let go of the swing while it was in midair, flew skyward, made a turn, and landed lightly on the ground. The older one (Petunia) was mad at her for doing it, because their mom had told them not to. Then Lilly took a flower and was able to open and close the petals. And Petunia was frightened. Then, Snape souldn’t contain himself and said “It’s obvious isn’t it?” Lilly asked wat’s obvious and Snape told her she’s a witch. Lilly was offended, because usually witches are mean etc. But they became friends later on because Snape would show her tricks when Petunia wasn’t there. Then, as they grew older, Snape and Lily got their Hogwarts letters. Snape got sorted into Slytherin, and Lily, Gryffindor. Snape was disliked, becasue of his apperance and he usually got bullied, mostly by James Potter, Sirius Black, Wormtail, and Remus Lupin (who just watched in the background). James bullied Snape in front of Lily, because he liked her and he thought it would impress her. Lilly, however didn’t find it amusing at all, but stood up for Snape when James did bully him. As they got older Snape started hanging out with a group of people who called themselves “Death Eaters”. They did retchid things, tht Lily didn’t like. So, she told Snape tht if he didn’t stop hanging out with them, she wouldn’t b friends with him anymore. Snape chose the Death Eaters. Lily concluded tht James wasn’t half as bad as Snape and had grown a liking to him. Snape hated this, for he had fell in love with Lily since the day he’d met her. James and Lily got married. Snape had nothing but Lord Voldemort and his followers left. When Voldemort heard the Prophecy, he was going to go to the Potter’s house, Snape begged him not to, becuz of Lily. Voldemort was determined and refused…tht’s when Snape went to Dumbledore and became his spy. So tht’s tht, Snape loved Lily, but Lily loved James.
Read this fanfiction (and the sequel, if you like). It will definetly answer this question. Even you don’t vote me best answer, you should read it anyway, you will enjoy it a lot.
