According to the survey conducted between Aug. 8 and Oct. 5, more than 4,000 movie fans have already purchased tickets to enjoy the upcoming movie about Harry Potter adventures. That is why the new movie about a boy wizard can be called the “most anticipated” films over the next 12 months. Now Harry Potter stands in one row with “X- Men Origins: Wolverine” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”
Well-done Harry!
According to the official data a lot of books disappear from public libraries every year. Sometimes librarians claim that for most people it seems to be the only way to get a book. Yeah, I mean it – to steal the book they like. And works by best-selling authors are in the group of risk. And not the saddest thing – people adore stealing Harry Potter books.
Libraries have been trying to implement numerous methods of controlling: for example, financial penalties, or brand new technological ones. And nothing works.
I even don’t know who steals Harry books! Why? There are millions of fans but they all would die to have their own new books and they would never ever make such an awful thing with to next generations. So who? Rowling books are not very expensive (until it is not a special edition). But you can’t get such additions in libraries, so it is easier to buy a book and not to upset people.
If Gryffindor is for the brave, why is Ron Weasley in this house? Isn’t he always scared about something?
The Harry Potter series female star Emma Watson was reported to start looking for a HES. And what a coincidence, not so far she has been noticed while touring the campus of Harvard University. Although there were some rumors that she is set to enroll at the Massachusetts’ establishment.
Unfortunately, Harvard’s Dean of Admissions had no decision to have a conversation with reporters, that is why I still don’t know whether the following information is true or not.
Let me just remind you, that a couple of months ago, Emma told the press she was going to have a break break from movies, and she wanted to study.
She said, “I’ve applied to a few universities for next year, including several American ones.”
Sad to say it, but I don’t ((( If you still don’t know what I am talking about, I would love to explain you. Famous movie stars, athletes and television personalities have donated their own (super cool and expensive) shoes to raise money for good causes.
Apart from a scandalous Hollywood actor Robin Williams, and super singer Elton John, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe and simply our beloved Dan were among those who gave their footwear.
The 19 pairs of shoes can be found on eBay auction that will close on 19 October.
I have sort of wavy hair, but my hair near the front of my head frizzes up A LOT. I was wondering if there was anyway to get my hair to be like hermione’s in those movies, i.e. wavy all over?? ?thankyou
Why do the UK and US version of the Harry Potter books have different covers? Why are there different versions of the book? I know that they change some of the language to make it easier for those in the US to understand (i.e. some Americans don’t understand some of the phrases used in the UK) but why do they have to change it? I think it should be printed the same as JKR wrote it no matter where it is released.
According to the Forbes magazine JK Rowling is the world’s highest-earning author. This woman is capable of earning more than £5 every second. The most interesting part is that the gap between the Harry Potter author and the next literature’s biggest earner, James Patterson is $250 million!!! Rowling was called a sensation. I love the phrase in Forbes: “ … it was wizardry that transformed JK Rowling from a destitute single mother on welfare into a best-selling billionaire…”
But not only Harry Potter books are selling so good the same situation is with movies. No, frankly speaking, the situation is even better. Harry Potter big screen franchise has already generated $4.5bn and it is not the end … The success is tremendous: her books have sold more than 400 million copies and you can meet them on 67 languages.
Stephen King occupies the third place.
The books don’t neccesarily have to involve magic or fantasy. My favorite things about the Harry Potter books are the amazing characters, the adventures, and the mysteries that are solved with logic. Does anybody know of books simliar to HP that are like that? I need something good to read now that Harry Potter is over! Thanks in advance !
